Biography:

Kelmoon grew up on the ice planet of Hoth, the sixth planet in the Hoth System. The circumstances as to how Kelmoon ended up on a barren planet such as Hoth are disasterous indeed. As a young child (about 5 or so), Kelmoon was on the run with his parents, although blissfully onaware, from pirates who held a grudge for his father during his days working for an unknown Hutt. Kelmoon himself never found out what, in detail, the grudge held against his father was, and continues to search for answers. Their ship, a stolen Coruscant freighter ship, seemed clear of the pirates that pursued them.

WHOOSH!

A black fighter ship fizzed into existence out of hyperspace into the path of the fleeing family. Kelmoon's father looked up out of the cockpit, noticing the pilot of the fighter ahead of them. His face dropped, he turned towards his wife and child behind him, and turned the freighter towards the planet adajcent to them: Hoth.
Knowing the chances of escaping in a freighter were slim, Kelmoon's father had no other option. His hand, a burnt, scorched mangled thing of its previous self, fell towards the throttle.
''Amriela.....you know there is no way we can escape in his freighter.''
''I know darling. I knew as soon as we boarded. But what choice did we have?''
''I know.''

The small, tiny freighter, hardly an obstacle in the way of any ship, burst into life and darted towards the ice planet.
''GET THEM!!''
The pirates, hungry for fresh victims to pillage or kill, followed suit. Their ships looked as though they had been put together using parts from their victim's ships, not considered a common habit amongst pirates.
''SHOOT YOU IDIOTS! SHOOT THEM!! SHOOT THEM!''
A flurry of light glistened in the reflection of the cockpit of Kelmoon's ship, getting closer and closer with each breath. Kelmoon's father tilted his head slightly towards his family, closed his eyes, and loosened the grip on the throttle.

BOOM!

Kelmoon's ship twisted and turned, its engine spitting sparks and fire.
''Hold on....just hold on, please....''.
The pirates slowed down, satisfied with their shots. Their leader in the black fighter ship stopped with his followers. He was smiling.

Kelmoon's ship continued to breath fire from its engine, obscuring the view of his father. It was now a blind flight. The spinning didnt stop. Neither did the fire. His father touched his forehead. Looking down, the blood on his heand was plentiful. if he didnt die in the crash, he knew he would ultimatly perish anyway. The ship entered Hoth's atmosphere, tearing at its remains from the previous battle. Exiting the atmosphere, the ship was met with a combination of snow and blistering wind. The fire had extinguished, but the ship was far from saving.
''Amriela......Amriela!''
His father looked back towards him, glancing at Kelmoon, then at his wife. Her eyes were shut.
''Damn it! DAMN IT, DAMN IT, DAMN IT!''
Looking up out of the remains of his cockpit, the ground was nearing. At least, it looked like the ground. His father shut his eyes again. And never opened them.

Kelmoon spent his childhood going from cave to cave, from home to home. He knew he could never become attached to one place, never mind how warm and cosy it had become, because of the movement of the native Wampas. Kelmoon had established a good routine: Eat. Sleep. Move.

One day, during a particulary heavy snowstorm, Kelmoon had settled in rather comfortable cave underneath a ridge. A spot for a fire. A place to sleep. All was well.
What was that?
A sound emitted from the back of the cave, like the movement of stones on the ground, as though someone was shuffling. Kelmoon looked back to his fire, dismissing it for his imagination.
Again?
Kelmoon got up from his spot by the fire, checked it was ok, and grabbed his 'sword', makeshifted out of a twig.

''Hello?''
His voice was soft as it barely echoed through the cave.
''Hello?''
There was the shuffling again!
''Come out. I wont hurt you.''
The sound must have heard, as the shuffling stopped. Kelmoon lowered his weapon, hoping for the shuffling to respond his kindness. The sound started again, but it had evolved into a slow walk, or the lumbering of a creature. A shape was beginning to form in the shadows. Kelmoon raised his weapon just a little in self defence as the shape began to expand. it neared the fire, and as it did, its true form was revealed.
''Wahh!''
Kelmoon stumbled back, managing to regain his balance. A Wampa emerged from the shadows. Then 2. Then 3.
''Get back!''
Fumbling around for his weapon, his hands searched the dusty ground. It wasnt there. He continued to search.
Something!
It was soft. Furry. Kelmoon looked up. The soft, furry object was the foot of a Wampa. Shooting up, he stood surrounded, surrounded by the most dangerous creatures known on Hoth. But something was wrong. Wampas were known to attack on sight, regardless of the prey in front of them. But these remained idle.
''What do you want?''
Kelmoon couldnt help feeling stupid at that remark. He knew Wamps couldnt speak.

From that day onwards, Kelmoon remained a friend to the Wampas. The first human to do so. Although not many humans visit Hoth. No one does. It was one day, when the snow was at its strongest, when Kelmoon's life changed forever. The day he would become a Jedi.
